In 1997, B. Doucet Lab Services Inc. was founded by Bill Doucet. After over thirty three years in the biomedical engineering field with distributors such as Baxter, Canlab, American Hospital Supplies, Dade Diagnostics, Bill had developed a reputation as one of the most knowledgeable and well respected field service technicians in the area. It was this reputation, along with his passion for his work that enabled Bill to bring BDLS to where it is today.

In 2007 Bill brought on an employee, his son, Christian Doucet. Christian had worked as a biomedical engineer at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute for over 5 years, developing essential skills required for field service. His experience with technology and background in electrical engineering opened the doors for BDLS to venture into new sectors of the market.

Combined, BDLS has nearly 50 years of experience in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, electronics, and computer systems technologies.

Over time, BDLS has developed close relationships with some of the world’s leading manufacturers and vendors of laboratory equipment. We are proud to be recognized throughout Canada as an authorized service provider for both VWR International and Thermo Fisher Scientific; two of the worlds most respected leaders in the distribution of scientific equipment, supplies, chemicals and furniture.
