Our Foundation
B. Doucet Lab Services Inc. (BDLS) was founded in 1997 by Bill Doucet after more than thirty years in the biomedical engineering field with distributors such as Baxter, Canlab, American Hospital Supplies, and Dade Diagnostics. Known as one of the most knowledgeable and well-respected field service technicians in the region, Bill built BDLS on a foundation of technical expertise, speed, and quality of service.
Our Team
In 2007, Bill was joined by his son, Christian Doucet, who had spent over five years as a biomedical engineer at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. With his background in electrical engineering and experience in research technology, Christian expanded BDLS into new service sectors and helped position the company for continued growth.
In 2018, Benoit Bergevin joined, bringing a background in biotech engineering and years of direct laboratory experience. With his highly technical and detail-oriented approach, Benoit added new depth to BDLS’s expertise and strengthened its ability to deliver precision-driven calibration, validation, and qualification services.
Together, the BDLS leadership team combines nearly 70 years of expertise in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, biotechnology, electronics, and computer systems technologies.

Our Specialties
As a small, specialized business, we take pride in offering direct, personal service—every call and email is answered by our technicians, never a call center. We have also built a reputation for unmatched response times and efficiency, with the capability to perform high-volume calibrations and qualifications of temperature-controlled units—up to 50 units calibrated or 20 units qualified simultaneously.
